Cold drawing is a manufacturing process used in the metallurgical industry to produce metal bars and profiles. The main aim of cold drawing is to reduce the dimensions of a material to give it a precise, well-defined shape.
To get from raw material to a drawn steel bar, our process follows several steps:
Cold drawing is in fact only the last stage in the production of drawn steel and bars.

Cold drawing, a fascinating process :
This stretching process reduces the size of the material while giving it a precise shape. But that's not all! It also improves the material's strength and quality, offering optimum mechanical properties and increased resistance.
Our bars and profiles range from 3 to 4 meters, and we also offer cold-drawn coils.
By combining these different drawing processes, we are able to obtain solid products in the following forms:
Our cold-rolling, drawing and heat-treatment equipment enables us to manufacture a wide variety of standard (flat, square, hexagonal) and special profiles to drawing in a wide range of steel grades:
Cold rolling is a manufacturing process involving the deformation of raw materials, often combined with cold drawing. This deformation is made possible by continuous compression between two counter-rotating rolls (rotating in opposite directions) known as "rolling mills".
The metal is compressed and crushed, increasing its elasticity and hardness.
It is during the cold rolling process that the metal's mechanical properties change.
The cold rolling process enlarges the zone of elastic deformation, thereby increasing the material's yield strength without altering its breaking strength.
Cold rolling is mainly used for square sections such as keyed steels. It transforms a bar into a particularly thin metal coil.

We are committed to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and plan to obtain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification in 2024.
We are currently forming a multi-disciplinary group to reduce our carbon footprint. As part of this initiative, we will be carrying out a full carbon assessment (SCOPES 1, 2 and 3) during 2023, which will enable us to evaluate our overall environmental impact.
